Yes, yes yes, you should definitely try and get some video of people entering the conference room, (just like everybody else…) but this bit, when the organisers first let the delegates into the plenary room to take their seats, is a really great opportunity to get shots of people either introducing themselves to their new neighbours, like this…

Shots like this are gold dust as they scream “community”, and every media owner either has a “community” or knows they should have.
So, yes, you could set up your hybrid camera to get one of those timelapse shots of people rushing into the conference room and taking their seats but I’d rather it was used to snipe shots of People Meeting People (some of them AGAIN) Because that’s what it’s all about…
